The city of Bristol has long been synonymous with sound system culture in the UK. With a resolve to provide a platform for the then emerging home grown Bristol dubstep scene, Punch Drunk Records was launched in 2006.

Run out of Bristol’s legendary hub of underground music, Rooted Records, label boss Tom ‘Peverelist’ Ford had already forged links with the embryonic London scene, supplying Bristol with the capital’s cutting edge dubstep sounds for years. With a vision to amplify Bristol’s vibrations to the world, Punch Drunk very quickly made it’s mark.

Punchdrunkmusic.com is the new online home to the record label, providing up to date information on forthcoming releases and events. This is combined with an online shop purveying a selection of some of the best vinyl records on the planet, contemporary & retro, underground and independent, alongside all available Punch Drunk catalogue.

In contrast to the ‘stock everything’ approach of the warehouse style online shops, our aim is to hand pick only the finest releases providing our customers with access to new music with our personal recommendation. We have a passion for music and a passion for vinyl, and we’d love to share it with you.
